Solitude Silence frammanar en ödsligt värld av is och snö. Det frostbitna landskapet väcker tankar om en ny istid hägrande hundratals år in i framtiden. Plötsligt urskiljer vi en gestalt som rör sig ur den vita ytan och initiera en långsam rörelse helt beroende av en isande snöstorm. En perpetum mobile med mänsklig själ som med solens hjälp har förmågan till evigt liv. Tack vare trasig kommunikations utrustning är denna humanoid evigt dömd till en vandring i cirklar där vägen är målet i jakten på de få solstrålar som bryter igenom en ändlös whiteout. Konstverket formas av långsamma visuella och ljudande rörelser, det har varken början eller slut och dess form uppstår under resans gång.
Solitude Silence visades för 6700 personer i oktober 2011 under Nuit Blanche i Paris. Tidskriften Vogue beskrev Solitude Silence som nummer ett av tio mest intressant konstprojekt bland de över tvåhundra internationella projekten som visades. Solitude Silence slutfördes sommaren 2010 under residens vid Nuit Bleue Arc-et-Senans Frankrike och S.LOW 2010 Berlin med stöd från Konstnärsnämnden och Svensk Musik. Solitude Silence evokes a desolate world of ice and snow. The frost-bitten landscape arouses thoughts of a new ice age looming hundreds of years into the future. Suddenly, we discern a figure who moves from the white surface and initiate a slow movement wholly dependent on an icy snowstorm. A perpetum mobile with a human soul, as with Sun’s help, the ability to eternal life. Due to faulty communications equipment, this humanoid forever doomed to walk in circles where the road is the goal in the hunt for the few rays of sunshine that breaks through an endless whiteout. The work of art is shaped by slow visual and audible movements, it has neither beginning nor end, and its form occurs during the process.
